Action-oriented strategy consultant, trust-based funder, network weaver, and non-profit capacity builder.

Hi, I'm Wendy Todd and I'm a seasoned consultant and public health leader with a proven track record of driving successful cross-sector partnerships, improving processes, shaping policies, and launching innovative community initiatives. I am deeply committed to social justice, and my work is grounded in both personal and professional experiences, with a steadfast focus on advancing health and well-being for all. I am dedicated to ensuring access to critical resources—such as nature, health care, housing, and economic opportunity—that every individual needs to thrive.

I earned a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles. While much of my career has been dedicated to improving access to and the quality of health care and social services for diverse populations, I also deeply recognize the transformative power of access to outdoor spaces and the profound impact it has on both physical and mental well-being.

Since founding Wendy Todd Consulting in 2014, I have designed and facilitated numerous cross-department and cross-sector collaborations, improving health care and social service access for diverse, low-income populations.

15+ Strategic Planning Projects

Key Achievements

Improved Access to Health and Social Services

Designed and facilitated cross-sector collaboratives and qualitative research to improve access to and quality of care.

Strengthened Organizational Capacity

Enhanced trust and collaboration within non-profits and foundations to achieve shared social impact goals.

Lived Experiences

My worldview is grounded in the core value of equity, firmly believing that true freedom can only be realized when everyone is free.  My personal experiences with income inequality, housing instability, mental illness in her family, and witnessing the systemic oppression of BIPOC communities have shaped her deep commitment to addressing disparities that continue to affect marginalized groups, especially inequities based on race.

Outdoor Justice

In the early 2000s, I began mountain biking when the sport was far from inclusive. I saw the lack of women, people of color, and individuals with disabilities participating and became intentional about welcoming more people to the sport. As a ride leader for the San Rafael Public High School Mountain Bike Team, I am committed to diversifying the sport and making it more welcoming to all.

My partner and I have created two documentaries focused on inclusive outdoor access:

Singletrack Minds: A film exploring the conflict and solutions between hikers and mountain bikers in Marin County.

The Way Bobby Sees It: A documentary about a blind mountain bike racer, featured in the International Bicycle Film Festival and disability film festivals.
